My cousin got married this weekend in a picture-perfect north Georgia landscape of rolling green hills, dotted with cows, longhorns and bales of hay -- complete with a pink and orange sunset at night. Lisa and Ryker's rehearsal dinner and wedding took place on his family farm, which includes land as far as the eye can see and a big, beautiful barn they converted into a lovely reception venue. My favorite detail was the wall of childhood photographs hung on strips of satin ribbon behind their pretty wedding cake. It was such a wonderful weekend filled with family from near and far, which always ends up being a really good time. Is there anything better than a family wedding? I don't think so.
In other news, I finally got a new camera lens, and I couldn't be happier with it! (Shout-out of thanks to my friend Melissa and her father-in-law for the wonderful camera lens advice!) Unfortunately it came in the mail while we were at the wedding -- boo -- but I used it plenty yesterday on a trip with my girlfriends to Madison, Georgia for a little antiquing fun. Stay tuned for pretty pictures, coming tomorrow...
Happy Monday!
