Happy MLK day! Do you have the day off? I took the last couple of days to relax and spend time with some great people, and I feel good because of it. We treasure hunted, we brunched, and Peyton Manning won the AFC Championship, so James is riding high that his favorite football player of all-time will be in the Super Bowl -- again! Also, we love our former Bulldog-turned-Bronco, Knowshon Moreno. The Super Bowl just got infinitely more exciting for us over here.
Re: treasure hunting, I found a ton of great stuff -- both for me and my little antique booth in town. I feel like I'm beginning to understand what will sell in my booth and what won't. I've had the space for about 6 months now, and it's something I love keeping up with. And, I'm still learning, but I feel like my displays have come a long way since I first started. I am thinking about sharing a little bit about all of this on the blog soon -- maybe a post about "what I've learned so far." Becoming an antiques dealer is something I have always been interested in but never thought I'd actually get into. It seems like an old lady thing, right? But it doesn't have to be.
I hope you guys have a great holiday today...here are a few things that caught my eye as I was pinning over the weekend:
"There are so many beautiful reasons to be happy..." a good reminder from The Motivated Type.
A simple display for yarn and ribbon I may adopt in my antique booth via Ashley Rose.
The best Valentine's Day card ever?! by Emily McDowell / for sale via Amelia.
Loving this outfit -- stretchy pants, a warm coat and a bright green scarf. Comfortable and chic!
"I Think I Am in Friend Love With You" by Yumi Sakugawa; I could give this to so many right now.
...speaking of friend-love, thank you so much for all of your sweet comments, e-mails and hugs regarding my post last Friday. Some days over here are tough, but you guys have no idea how your love snaps me out of it and makes me feel better. Thank you so much.
Have a great start to your week! xo --Natty
