ABOUT

Hi, I'm Natalie, and I'm so glad you're here! Welcome. This blog is a space where I record and share snippets of inspiration, DIY projects, my Etsy goods, home design, vintage finds and my day-to-day happenings -- a place where I can be creative and share my ventures. Thank you so much for visiting!

I am a freelance writer and artist. I love to create, and I've always had a special place in my heart for snail mail. I combined these two passions in 2010 and opened Natty Michelle Paperie, my stationery shop where I sell my original artwork, handmade notecards, invitations and other wonderful whimsies. I spend my days drawing, painting and designing, and I feel so thankful to have a job I love so much (especially because my road to get here has been rocky at times!)

I'm also an avid treasure hunter, and I sell some of my finds locally at an antique mall called "Junk in the Trunk." I enjoy spending any free time I have at antique malls near and far, collecting things from the past to fill the corners in our home. I often post about my thrifting adventures on this blog, too.

I'm married to my sweet husband, James, and we have a cat named Bianca. A few years ago we traded city life in Atlanta for Athens, Georgia -- a hip town known for its music, art and food that's also home to our alma mater, University of Georgia. After over two years of struggling with infertility, we are expecting our first child in December -- a little boy! I love watching Woody Allen movies, listening to John Denver playing on our record player, and I never miss an opportunity to craft. Guilty pleasures include "The Real Housewives" (all of them) and fried green tomatoes. I am constantly moving furniture around banging new holes in walls cluttering shelves dreaming up new ways to decorate the cozy cottage we call home.

And of course, everyone calls me Natty.

Thanks again for visiting, and I hope you'll stay around for a little while and follow along. Enjoy, and if you'd like, give me a buzz! I'd love to hear from you. nataliekilgore@gmail.com
